From 2013 to 2022, Lubell served as the executive director of the International Center of Photography (ICP), where he was instrumental in a period of remarkable growth and institutional change. During his tenure, he successfully secured over $90 million in funding to support critical expansion efforts and ensure the ICP's long-term sustainability. He also played a pivotal role in the acquisition and development of the ICP's permanent location on Ludlow Street in New York City.
